Asphalt Paving Atlanta

Georgia Sealcoating has the means to complete any asphalt paving job no matter how big or small. Whether it is new construction, reconstruction, overlaying, or patching: We are happy to offer our expertise at a fair and reasonable price. We view every client as a life time customer, so weather you have a single pot hole that needs to be repaired, or an entire parking lot that needs to be milled and repaved, you can always expect the same level of respect from us. When it comes to paving you have all types or grades of asphalt. We use the proper GAB ( Graded Aggregate Base ) course required for your parking lot or road. If you have many heavy trucks or buses passing through you will need a stronger base. Inadequate base installation will lead to asphalt failure down the road (i.e. excessive alligator cracking, and potholes.). Typically we will then install a Binder course asphalt and the final layer installed is always type “F” asphalt topping. When called to fix an alligatored area or pot hole, we must make sure that they are not the result of sub base issues. Often times asphalt cracks due to oxidation and once water penetrates the top layer of asphalt through these cracks, erosion may occur. This is the main reason sealcoating and crack repair are so important.

At Georiga Sealcoating Atlanta, we provide top-quality asphalt and concrete service for both residential and commercial scale projects. With our years of experience and expertise, we can guarantee your satisfaction to any unique solution.

When the existing asphalt is still in good condition, but in need of repair, you have a few options. One option is to resurface the current asphalt. When doing so, removal of the asphalt is required in most situations. This removal is called “milling.” We remove the asphalt so that a new asphalt layer will lay flush with the current elevation of the curbs. After the milling is completed, we sweep clean the current surface and a tack coat is applied. The reason for the tack is that the new layer of asphalt bonds together with the underlying layer of asphalt. Now you have a new layer of asphalt installed.

Asphalt pavement is used in a variety of different applications because of its durability, cost-effectiveness, and strength. Asphalt is the material that is generally used on parking lots across the nation because asphalt withstands heavier loads and, when joined with proper asphalt paving maintenance, it will lasts for many years.

To ensure that you maximize the life of your asphalt, it is recommended that you create a asphalt pavement maintenance routine. This involves inspections and preventative maintenance procedures.

Asphalt Paving Repair & Patching

Patching is a commonly used procedure to repair asphalt on areas of pavement with potholes. Potholes happen when water seeps into pavement through opened or improperly sealed cracks. When the water freezes, it expands and enlarges the crack. When the ice under the pavement melts, a void is left. Surrounding pavement falls into the void and forms a pothole.

Educating our clients and giving that best of our services is our greatest responsibility. Not only do we want to complete our jobs, but we want our clients to know and understand what they are investing in for the future. If you have any questions or concerns in the future after projects are completed we are always available.
